Biton, Eyal


Ben Hannah and Machluf. He was born on April 27, 1970 in Safed. He studied at the Horev Elementary School in Be’er Sheva and then completed his studies at the Or Etzion High School in the Shapira Center. He was a curious child, excelling in his studies, who read books a lot and was knowledgeable in every field. Eyal was prominent in his high qualities, his timidity, his kindness, his integrity and his generosity. He took part in knowledge quizzes on behalf of his school and even won prizes. Eyal was orphaned by his father who fell in the War of Attrition, and as the only male among his five sisters played an important role in his home. Was the family’s authorized and dedicated family. He displayed a sense of exemplary responsibility and was the head of the family. “Eyal was the only son of his family, a source of pride for his sisters, and he took responsibility for everything: his studies, his behavior, his values, his sensitivity to justice,” he said. Such a dependable student: diligent, meticulous, orderly and organized, and always the right answers. ” He was a member of Bnei Akiva, friendly and smiling, and devoted his free time to sports and listening to music. Eyal was devoted to his mother, as his friend wrote about him: “Mostly I remember your concern for your mother, the desire to fulfill her will.” Eyal was drafted into the IDF in August 1988. After his basic training and technical inventory, he was assigned to an air force unit near his home. We discovered a man and a soldier who was very diligent, dedicated, devoted to every task and helped everyone. Eyal, during his short service, was always his mother and family, and he helped them as much as he could. Eyal was highly respected by his commanders and his comrades in the unit: “On the 18th of Adar I 5723 (February 23, 1989), Eyal fell in the line of duty and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva, leaving a mother and five sisters – Ronit, Yehudit, Nili, Aliza and Michal, and his mother donated a Torah scroll to the Darchei Yesharim Synagogue in Yeruham.
