Bernstein, Moshe
Son of Fruma and Chaim Shimon Hersh. He was born in 1902 in Moshav Bnei Yehuda, which was established by an association that was organized among the Jews of Safed and whose goal was to establish a Jewish settlement in the Golan Heights on Transjordan. At the outbreak of the 1920 riots, on February 26, 1920, he entered the house of the Arab mukhtar and killed his mother and his brother. Moshe was brought to rest in the cemetery in Tiberias, together with his mother, near his father’s grave. He left two brothers and three sisters.
