Moshe, son of Yehudit and Avraham, was born in September 1945 in Izmir, Turkey, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1948. He studied at the elementary school in Lod and after completing the elementary school law began working in the carpentry workshop. His main hobby, which filled almost all of his spare time, was sports, and he was a member of various sports organizations and until his enlistment he was a member of the Hapoel Lod team and participated in many games and competitions. Who loved to travel alone and to be alone in the countryside, managed to acquire many friends and maintained close contact with them, from the B era After his service in the army, and his friends say that he was very fond of them because of his good Lev, energy, and “sticky” life, Moshe was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of May 1963 and assigned to one of the infantry units. After completing basic training, he was sent to serve in a unit in the north. Although he did not much like life in the army, he managed to acquire many members of the unit. During his military service he participated in many sports competitions and maintained close ties with his friends in the Lod soccer team. After his discharge from compulsory service, Moshe began working at the Lod railway station and was elected as a member of the workers’ committee there. During the Six-Day War he joined his reserve unit and fought in the Sinai sector. At the end of the war he was awarded the “Six-Day War”. He married his girlfriend Miriam and eventually had two daughters. Moshe was a loyal husband and devoted father. And his friends say that they used to point to him as an example of “a loving-home.” He planned and set up his apartment with his own hands, and spent nights and days furnishing it whole. About two weeks before the Yom Kippur War broke out, Moshe was called up for reserve duty and sent to Sinai. When the war broke out, he was shelled in a “Ketubah” stronghold on the Suez Canal. He was wounded in the shelling and returned to fight after his wound was bruised. On October 7, 1973, he was hit again and killed. He was considered missing for a long time, but his body was later identified and brought to eternal rest in the Lod cemetery. He left behind a wife and two daughters. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commanders wrote: “Moshe son of-Yakar gave his life for his homeland. He was a devoted soldier, a loyal friend and a confidant of everything. During the period of his service with us in the battalion, we found the qualities of a man and a model warrior. His character will always be with us. “
