Ben Jacob and Esther. He was born on the 9th of Adar 5704 (February 25, 1944) in Elkaza, in the Sephardic region of Morocco, In March 1965 Hagai was drafted into the IDF as part of the Nahal Brigade. After completing his first year of compulsory service, he was drafted again in the days preceding the Six-Day War, and Hagai did not ask for a military career, But he fulfilled his obligation as required – with dedication and diligence – although he was somewhat disappointed by the social reality of the kibbutz, he remained close and loyal to the idea, without any objection.” In theory, he only rose to the rank of corporal, but he served as an officer even though he was not trained in the Yom Kippur War, and fought in the killing field of the Chinese farm. When volunteers asked to join the Chevra Kadisha in the search for corpses, to check whether there were no traps, Haggai voluntarily went as a mitzva But this work made him more withdrawn and depressed, but he left the Yom Kippur War unharmed physically, and fate was cruel to Hagai after the end of the war – on the 19th of Av 5764 (7.8.1974), during service Active reserve duty, injured in an accident while carrying out his duties, was brought to rest on Admat Ruhama. Left behind a wife and two daughters, parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
