Ben Porat, Eli

Eli, son of Tehila and Yeshaya Son of Porat, was born in 1979 in Bnei Brak. In March 1999, Eli joined the IDF in the Golani Brigade, where he joined the IDF, . He served as a combat soldier and as a squad commander, mainly in the Hebron area, and at the end of 2000 he began an officers’ course. On December 11, 2000, Eli died after collapsing during training in the Golan Heights. After his death, he was promoted to lieutenant colonel. Eli was laid to rest at the Segula Military Cemetery in Petah Tikva. Survived by his parents, two sisters and a brother.
