Ben-Dov, Guy (Yosef)

Guy (Yosef), son of Naora and Dror Son of-Dov, was born in 1965 in Petach Tikva. He joined his parents on family trips to the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel, knew the country throughout its length, and devoted his time to reading books on the geography and history of the Land of Israel and books related to the security of the State of Israel. Guy was drafted into the IDF in February 1984. He aspired to serve in the naval commando unit, but eventually volunteered for the paratroopers. On 3 Sivan, 10.7.1986, in the area north of Rosh Hanikra, Guy was injured in a battle against terrorists who boarded a boat from the shore. He died of his wounds and was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery. Survived by his parents, a sister and brother.
