Ben Naomi and Aryeh. Born on December 28, 1969 in Ashkelon. The eldest son of his parents. He grew up in his hometown. Already in the kindergarten he was recognized as a child gifted with exceptional talents. Elad studied at the Ilanot Elementary School and continued his high school studies at the Tagger High School in the biological track. Was a nature-loving boy with a well-developed social consciousness and great sensitivity to others. Elad used to help students with difficulty and took on key roles in both the youth movement and the school. He served as the chairman of the Student Council of the School and a Scouts delegate to a Jewish community in the United States, and graduated from the IDF in September 1987. He served in the Nahal Brigade For a year and a half, he went on a course for squad commanders, which he graduated with honors, and continued with an officer’s course, which he also graduated with honors as part of his service in the Paratroopers Brigade. In 1992, he received the Chief of Staff’s Award and represented Israel in Los Angeles as part of the Independence Day celebrations, and he planned to retire from service in 1993 and study medicine, and only his appointment as the commander of a paratroopers’ unit made him very gratified. Elad fell in a battle in southern Lebanon during an operational tour on April 13, 1993, and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Ashkelon and was followed by his parents and two brothers, Alon and Eyal, in a letter of condolences to the bereaved family. Elad as an intelligent and educated officer and his control of broad areas of knowledge, and especially of being a leader and role model for his subordinates And his friends and admirers gathered material for the purpose of publishing a booklet commemorating his memory, the Syracuse community called the Scouts for the name of Elad, and established a scholarship fund for Israeli viewers about His name.
