In his last position, he served as a squad commander in a heavy-duty transport course at the Maintenance School, and was described by his commanders as a diligent and dedicated soldier who showed great motivation for military service and volunteered for every mission. (29.6.1996) my father went with his friends to Ashkelon beach, where they noticed a drowning girl and a young man who tried to help her. My father and his friend came to their aid and entered the stormy sea, where my father found his death, while he was trying to save the lives of others, and he was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Ashkelon. Brothers and sisters, wrote in a letter of consolation to the family: “My father found his death when he sacrificed his life in an attempt to save two lives from drowning. He served in my unit for about ten months. He served as an example to every soldier and commander in the Israel Defense Forces, and he stood out in his many positive qualities. My father did his duty by showing endless devotion and responsibility, demonstrating a commander figure, peace of mind and helping others. What characterized him most was the spirit of volunteerism and initiative he had always shown. His commanders admired him and his friends loved and admired him. “
