Avrahami, Eitan
Son of-Yonah and Son of-Zion, was born in Petah Tikva on the 11th of Iyar 5725 (13.5.1965). At the age of 12, Eitan and his entire family immigrated to Katzrin, on the Golan Heights. The Avrahami family is one of the few founders of the Golan. His parents say that it was in fact Eitan, who convinced and brought the final decision to immigrate to the Golan Heights. Eitan was proud of his achievement throughout his short life. He loved the Golan with all his Lev, walked the length and breadth of it, and knew all the corners of his charm and his secrets. In Katzrin, Eitan belonged to the older children’s class and studied for a year at the regional school in Kfar Blum. A year later, he was among the first graduating class of the Gamla elementary school in Katzrin. Later on, Eitan asked to combine studies with fieldwork, and studied for four years at the agricultural school in Pardes Hanna. Classmates, remember him as a gentle boy, always smiling and accepting everything in good spirits. Eitan was a “good soul.” He was a member of a group from the agricultural boarding school in Sde Boker. When he completed his studies in 11th grade, he traveled with his sister for a trip to the United States. When he enlisted in the IDF, Eitan tried to get into an elite elite unit, and during the early stages he felt unjustly that he was not succeeding, and Eitan decided to join one of its elite units. Eitan received all of the above-mentioned requirements, reaching the rank of sergeant in the engineering corps of the Golani Brigade, and during his military service he passed all the difficult tests of the Peace for Galilee war with distinction, and Eitan managed to conceal from his parents the nature of the difficult activity The family learned about the nature of the important tasks that were imposed on Eitan Eitan was an outstanding sniper in the Golani Brigade, and together with the rest of the snipers he won prizes in all-brigade competitions, and he considered joining an officers’ course, and Eitan fell in battle in Lebanon on December 16, 1984, during a clash with terrorists Who had joined him in the morning when he returned from a short vacation, identified a terrorist squad in the area of a-Nimria village, northwest of Nabatiya, sister and brother. Eitan was buried at the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, near the grave of Dudu Shmuel, a Lehi man who fell in the war for the rebirth of the Jewish people, and many people from all over the country attended Eitan’s funeral.
