Arieli (Leibler), Avraham (Abek)
Son of Hadasa and shimon. Was born in Cracow, Poland (then under Austrian rule), where he studied in a high school and later went on to become a member of Kibbutz Artzi in Western Galicia. He joined a kibbutz that was engaged in a job in Nes Ziona, and when the kibbutz was dismantled, he continued to work as an individual and with the aim of agricultural life joined the “South” organization, a group of candidates for the settlement. Immediately after his arrival in Israel, he joined the Haganah and in the 1929 riots was wounded in the leg. During the Second World War he volunteered for the Nutras and served there for four years. Afterward, he continued to serve in the Haganah and after exhausting days he kept guard at night according to his turn. After the War of Independence he volunteered for the campaign, although he was married and had two children, and continued to serve in the Alexandroni Brigade. On September 13, 1948, while serving in the position near Kfar Yavetz, on the “Triangle” front, he was seriously injured by a bullet in his leg and abdomen and transferred to the home front. Abraham was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Tel Mond.
