Amber, Eli
Son of Sa’ida and Aziz, he was born on 17 August 1963 in Israel and grew up in Kiryat Ata. Eli attended the “Lohamei Hagetaot” elementary school and continued to study for two years in a vocational school. After that, he began working at the Electra factory and continued his work until his enlistment in the IDF where he was highly respected for his diligence and devotion. In his spare time he liked to play sports, especially football and tennis. He used to listen a lot to hard rock music, his friends were many. He saw only two possibilities: “Prison or Golani.” He began to accompany the brigade when he was 11 years old and read her battle stories enthusiastically. As a result, he was determined to integrate into it. To this end he had to wait for a special training period, after he had completed regular basic training. During this period, Eli completed his studies at Givat Olga. When he completed basic training, the Peace for Galilee War began. Eli went with his battalion to Lebanon and fought for two months, until he fell in Burg El Bergane on the day of 15 Av 5782 (4.8.1982) and was brought to rest on Carmel Beach in Haifa. He left parents and eight brothers and sisters.
