Alharar, Michelle


Michel, son of Esther and Yaish, was born on April 13, 1952, in Casablanca, Morocco, and immigrated to Israel with his family from France in 1969. Michelle was drafted into the IDF in January 1972. After completing basic training, And was assigned to one of the Paratroopers’ units, and Michel was a very responsible and dedicated paramedic, and his colleagues in the unit said that he served as an example of his calm and comfortable atmosphere, and during his military service Michel tried not to worry about his parents. One of the great experiences he underwent during his military service was his first parachute jump Michelle, whom he used to tell his parents and friends, was to study medicine after he was discharged from the IDF. He would repeat that he intended to dedicate his whole life to caring for the sick and helping the needy and the destitute. During the Yom Kippur War, Michel fought in the battle against the Egyptians in Sinai. On the 6th of Tishrei 5734 (October 6, 1973), Michel was injured in the bombing and was killed, brought to rest in the cemetery in Netanya, and left behind his parents, brother and two sisters.
