Yossi studied at the Modi’in elementary school in Yad Eliyahu, a prominent student at every parents’ meeting, and his parents heard only praise. He went on to the Zeitlin School and the Ort Singalovski High School and completed his twelfth grade at the Ankori School in Tel Aviv, where Yossi grew up and became a well-groomed young man, always dressed in good taste, strong and handsome, and gained many friends wherever he was. “Yossi the Great” was called by his friends, who treated him with appreciation and saw him as the leader of the group, always caring and helping everyone, accepting everyone and not depriving or rejecting anyone.was respected by everyone, and if anyone in trouble knew how to help him quietly and modestly. Yossi liked to play soccer, and even practiced for a while in the Bnei Yehuda team, where he used to practice regularly at the gym, and there was great love between Yossi and his family. He was a partner to every decision and plan of the family, involved in the life of all his loved ones, and from an early age Yossi used to help his father in his shop when he was studying in the after school hours, And when he was a soldier – in the hours after the day he worked in the army, and over time helped to expand the business, he added to the variety of goods and, for example, initiated the sale of disposable utensils, Call and check that everything is working properly, goods arrive and work flows. “You’ll hear about me,” Yossi would say, planning to become a businessman after his military service. Yossi joined the IDF in July 2000, and after a professional training served as a maintenance officer at the Artillery Corps base Yossi was a beloved soldier among the soldiers and commanders of the unit and the company, and he displayed the sense of humor he shared with people and his constant smile. “During the short time he served in the unit, Yossi served as the maintenance coordinator in an exceptional manner, and even during a period when he did not have a commander, Yossi managed to fill both roles, working with many elements at the base and in the unit and creating good interpersonal relationships and connections most.” In April 2001, he was promoted to the rank of Corporal, and during his service he was very busy – during the day he was in the army, in the evening he helped with his father’s shop and at night spent time with his friends, including many who he knew in the army on 27.6.2001 ) Yossi was killed in a traffic accident on the Geha road near the gas station at the entrance to Holon. He was nineteen when he fell. He was laid to rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery. Survived by his parents and five brothers and sisters. The family of Yossi and his friends made a film to remember him, including his short life story in pictures and words. To commemorate Yossi’s memory, the family brought a Torah scroll, prayer books, a Torah scroll and a Megillat Esther to the Heichal Shlomo synagogue in Tel Aviv’s Hatikva neighborhood and to the Shammai synagogue, where Yossi used to pray.
