Aharonov, Moshe

Son of Mordechai and Nechama. He was born on September 28, 1932 in Hamburg, Germany. The family immigrated to Israel in 1933. When he completed his studies at the Tachkemoni elementary school, he attended the municipal high school at evening classes. Before the War of Independence, he belonged to the Irgun and later was drafted into the IDF in April 1950. After completing his service he continued to specialize in the metal industry, in the profession of retracting, within the framework of the Ministry of Labor. Everything, even the smallest one, was approached with extraordinary vigor and energy. When he was called up for reserve duty (even before the Six-Day War) he would say, “I do not apply for release from reserve duty, it is a sacred duty and I will fulfill my duty.” The man of duty and duty and devotion filled them both. About a year and a half before he fell, he fell into a school for the training of foremen and technicians on behalf of the Ministry of Labor. He enlisted in the Armored Corps during the Six Day War. He took part in a battle that took place on Bir Gafgafa in Sinai, where he left a wife and two children and was buried in the military emergency cemetery in Bari, He was buried in the Kiryat Shaul Military Cemetery, and his memory was included in a booklet published by Givatayim for information and the local life.
