Abraham, Nehemiah

Nehemiah ben Daniel and Simcha was born on the 17 of Iyar,May 7, 1958 in Jerusalem. A few years later, the family settled in Moshav Ta’oz. At the beginning of August 1976, Nehemiah was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the infantry corps, where he completed a course in infantry training. On the 5th of Av 5738 (August 8, 1978), fell in the line of duty. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents, three brothers and five sisters. In a letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: Nehemiah, was an outstanding soldier in our unit. He captured the hearts of the soldiers and commanders in his modest, quiet, and pleasant way. Nehemiah will remain engraved in theheart of us all. “
