Abitbul, Amos

Amos, son of Miriam and Yosef Abitbul, was born in 1967 in Be’er Sheva. After taking part in a pre-military driving course, Amos enlisted in the army in February 1986 and completed his military career as a driver in a training course he underwent during his service. He was assigned to serve as a driver in the School for Commanders, but served only a few months. On 26 Sivan, July 3, 1986, at the age of 19, he was seriously injured in a road accident that took place when he lost control of the vehicle. Amos was buried in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva. The family donated in his memory chandeliers, Torah scrolls and other holy books for the Shaare Zedek Synagogue in Be’er Sheva.
