Zygelbaum, Zvi (Siggy)


Son of Yaffa and Haim. He was born on June 6, 1961 in Ramat Gan. He began his studies at the “Meidad” elementary school and continued with the humanitarian track at Blich High School. In 1978 he went to the United States and Canada for summer projects, to represent Israel and the State of Israel as an accordionist. In July of 1979, Zvika was drafted into the Israel Air Force as a pilot in a helicopter squadron and was trained as a flight instructor in a military squadron, responsible for the development of instructional materials, film production at the school He was a talented, productive, thorough and well-versed artist who achieved high achievements in subjects he loved, and his professional level was high Zvika was accepted to study graphic design at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and rejected his temporary studies As a result of his decision to continue his service On the 12th of Tevet 5747 (12.1.1987) Zvika fell during his service and was laid to rest at the cemetery. And his sister, Yael, was twenty-five years old when he died, and a certificate of appreciation and respect for his service in the regular army signed by the head of manpower was transferred to the bereaved family. His family commemorated him in the Ein-Hatayasim Nature Reserve in the Judean Hills, within the framework of the Nature Reserves Authority. This reserve was chosen due to Tzvika’s strong love for Jerusalem and the Judean Hills.
