Zuckerman, Giora
Son of Jacob and Yehudit. He was born on 29.8.1939 in Tel Aviv. He completed his studies at the “Carmel” elementary school and then studied for one year at the “New High School” there. He belonged to “Mahanot Haolim” and then moved to Nahalal and studied there for three years in the agricultural high school. He loved agriculture. He was devoted to the movement of the groups and to the theory of socialism. He loved music, participated in choirs and amateurs. Aware of everything, he read and learned a great deal, and could help with hard work. He thought a great deal about society and the Yaffa future and looked for a way to help and benefit others. During his service in the IDF, he belonged to the Nahalat Ketziot settlement, where he worked in the vegetable garden, a branch that was very close to his Lev and in which he experimented with vegetable crops suitable for the region – The settlement. On the 28th of Tishrei 5719 (28.9.1958) he fell while fulfilling his duties and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. A booklet in his memory was published by his friends in “Thirty” for his death, after which the library was named Misgav Am, and a grove was planted there. With the contribution of his uncle from San Francisco, the United States was established in the agricultural high school in Nahalal. A music hall and a musical library, and its parents continue to nurture the library.
