Yochanan (Yochik), son of Naomi and Meir, was born on 5 November 1951. A missile hit his tank directly and he was killed on the spot. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Ma’agan Michael. He was survived by a father, a mother and four brothers. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “John proved his personal and professional ability to stand bravely in front of the enemy.” His parents published a pamphlet in his memory, including things about his character, memoirs, letters, lyrics and photographs; Sea Scouts in Haifa launched a sailboat in his memory; After the war, his kibbutz, Ma’agan Michael, published a leaflet containing information about his character.
