Zoravachi, Nissan


Son of Esther and Isaac. Was born on October 1, 1953 in Jerusalem, the city where he grew up, married and established his own family. Nissan was a child and a boy full of joy and surrounded by friends. During his youth, Nissan was a member of the Betar youth movement, trained in various sports, played folk dancing, and even took part in the “Hora Neurim” dance club, where he began his studies at the “Doresh Zion” elementary school in Jerusalem and successfully graduated from high school “Brandeis” in the city In February 1972, Nissan enlisted in the IDF for combat engineering. During his service in the Yom Kippur War on the banks of the Suez Canal, Nissan worked as a banker at the First International Bank and at the same time studied driving and management instruction. After successfully completing his studies, he started teaching driving. In 1981 Nissan married Orna and they had three children – Dana, Sivan and Tomer. Nissan had a father and a warm husband who lavished love and loved to spend time with his family. His parents and brothers also had a son and a devoted brother. He was concerned about their safety and did not hesitate to support them at all times. They felt confident that there was someone to rely on, and there was someone who would provide a good solution to every problem and situation. Nissan liked to help others, he donated to needy families, and as part of his work taught students that they could not afford to pay for driving lessons. All this he did with joy and will, with his constant smile on his lips. After a few years as a driving instructor, Nissan established the Ramot Driving School, one of the largest in Jerusalem, where he taught and managed. Along with the intensive work, Nissan never stopped spending time with his family and hobbies – he went on trips around the world – in the United States, Europe and the East, sometimes accompanied by his family, he continued to dance and attend events and family and social gatherings. Throughout his life in civilian life, Nissan has been careful to fill his reserve service, and in the past year he has worked in his field of specialization, teaching driving. His commander as part of the reserve service says that Nissen was admitted to the unit because of excellent opinions he received from his Jerusalem colleagues. He was indeed inexhaustible and during the period in which he served in the unit, he was discovered as a serious, diligent and professional person. Has a personal level, high self-discipline and motivation. Nissan fell in the line of duty on 9/10/1995, in a car accident that took place on his way from Jerusalem to Tzrifin, where he traveled to fill the reserve service to which he was summoned. Nissan was buried in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. Survived by his parents, his wife Orna, his three children – Dana, Sivan and Tomer, and four siblings – Yaffa, Margalit, Dalia and Boaz
