Zohar, Oren Mahluf

Son of Leah and Abraham. He was born on August 20, 1971 in Haifa. He studied at the Hebrew elementary school in Haifa and at the “Shuv” high school in the electricity track. When he finished elementary school, the principal of the school wrote: “Oren is sensitive, intelligent, socially caring, talented, both intellectually and in other fields, and has the ability to organize, perform, and fulfill tasks.” Oren was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed youth movement and later taught at the French Carmel. He was a sports fan, successfully completed a course for football judges, and judged several games. He loved animals and often adopted dogs he found. Oren was interested in everything: woodwork, ceramics, roller skating, but his most prominent hobby, which became his main occupation and source of income for him, was music. From an early age he was discovered as a musician, and his parents bought him a drum set. He also knew how to play the recorder and the guitar and used to play the guitar on quiet Sabbath evenings in the bosom of the family, which joined the Sabbath songs. When he finished his studies at the end of 10th grade, he devoted himself entirely to music. He began to work as a DJ and did well in his work. He had a professional amplification system he built with his own hands, and a rich bag. Here, too, was the talent of his organization. In addition to his work in clubs and events, he volunteered to run free social evenings at the Rotary Club in Haifa and in charitable institutions. Oren was a loving and supportive son and brother. He was interested in his younger brothers and in their academic achievements. He was helpful at all times, and everything he did and Nathan was done in an original and special way. He was the mainstay of his family, but always at the disposal of his friends. In mid-November 1989, Oren was drafted into the IDF and was assigned to the “Amakim” unit, where he was assigned to the “Amakim” unit. “As you write in his unit,” You had the wisdom of a fifty-year-old man with a great deal of experience in everyday life. “A member of the unit writes: “Oren was a sort of ‘wall’ – when I wanted to talk to someone who could understand me – Oren was always willing to listen and give A foreigner in every field. “Despite leaving his studies and succeeding in his work, he did not stop planning his return to school and completing the matriculation certificate, and planned to continue his work as a recorder and develop in the field of organizing and amplifying equipment On September 16, 1992, Who was celebrating his twenty-first birthday, Oren fell during his service, and when his parents donated his organs to the transplant, the organs were transplanted into the bodies of four patients and saved their lives. “Yes, a child was lying in peace, because you are a unique … / because you are one of the few, in whose death you gave life to others …” Oren was brought to rest Water at the military cemetery in Haifa. Survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister – Erez, Alon and Dikla. In his obituary, his commander wrote: “You were a friend and consultant in many fields, much more than a subordinate who comes to the unit every day, does his duty and returns to his home, the charisma, the solid image, the authority that you accompany me every day.” His comrades in the unit published a pamphlet in his memory, which included some of his characters.
