Zofnik (Ben Zvi), Rachel (Lea)

Rachel, daughter of Hannah and Gershon Son of Zvi, was born on September 5, 1958, in Haifa. Rachel was recruited to the IDF in mid-December 1978, and after completing her basic training, she was placed as an outstanding soldier in the Education Unit and served as a teacher at the School of Education in Haifa. A few months after she married, on 29 November 1979, Corporal Rachel fell during her service and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. She left a husband, parents and a brother.
