Zlochover, Chaim

Chaim, son of Rosa and Aryeh Zlochover, was born in 1912 in Braila, Romania. In 1938, he made aliya on the Astir ship. He joined the British army in the Second World War and served four years in Egypt. Chaim joined the Jewish Brigade and reached the rank of sergeant, and took part in the defense of Naharayim. He was killed during the operation of “Yoav” to break through the Negev on 14 Tishrei, October 17, 1948. He was buried in Dorot after his death and on 04.05.1950, was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
