Zlait, Ezra

Son of Morris and Dorin. Was born on January 6, 1951, in Baghdad, Iraq, and in 1952 immigrated to Israel with his family. He studied at Matmid Elementary School in Ramat Gan and at the Kadima School in Tel Aviv. He was an avid sports fan and active in Hapoel Ramat Gan, the soccer division. Ezra was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of February 1969. On the 11th of Tishrei 5769 (23.9.1969), he was killed by an enemy bombardment near the Suez Canal and brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
