Zissu, Eliezer

Eliezer, son of Shifra and Leib-Avraham Zissu, was born in 1919 in Targu-Niametz in Moldavia, Romania. After the war, he set out on the “escape route” to a DP camp in Austria. He joined the ranks of the fighters in the spring of 1948. He served in the Golani Brigade and fulfilled his obligation with faith and devotion. He fell in the course of his duty, on the 12th of Sivan (19.6.1948), was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Afula.
