Zilberberg, Menachem


Son of Yitzhak and Sarah. He was born on January 1, 1935 in Piotrkow, Poland. He immigrated to Israel with his parents while we were still a baby. He grew up in a religious atmosphere according to the spirit of his parents – first in Tel Aviv and then in Jerusalem – and studied religious studies in the cheder. After a while he was sent to the institution of Rabbi Zvik in Kfar Ganim, where he also visited an elementary school and completed his studies there. He completed a course for clerks and for a while worked as a clerk in an attorney’s office, but then left his job and attended an Arab high school (“education”) until the end of 10th grade. He was a member of Betar and was drafted into the IDF in August 1953 and was a member of the Nachal Magen infantry group, after which he moved to Mevo’ot Betar, where he was active in the army and on the 29th of Sivan 5766 (19.6.1955), fell and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul
