Zigel, David-Simcha
David Simcha Zigel, son of Rivka and Jeremiah , was born in Tel Aviv in 1936. David was drafted into the IDF in December 1953 and assigned to the Maintenance Corps as a refrigeration technician. In Tel Aviv he met his wife, Hadassah, and over the years they had three daughters. The family moved to Rishon Letzion and David volunteered for the Civil Guard there. He was called for reserve duty and in 1965 he completed a course for military officers and was assigned to the Civil Defense Unit in Rishon Lezion. He received the signal of the Yom Kippur War and the Peace of Galilee. On the fifteenth of Av (10.8.1987), when he was active reserve duty, David fell during his service and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Rishon LeZion. He left behind a wife, three daughters and a sister.
