He was born on October 2, 1946, in the city of Prokofievsk, Siberia, where the family was exiled at the beginning of World War II.Two years after his birth the family fled the area of ​​deportation and settled in the city of Lvov, 1972. Vladimir graduated from the elementary school to the university in Lvov, where he completed his studies as an engineer in glass technology, and was also familiar with Russian and world classical literature whose works he read in Russian translation. And graduated in his youth as a Hebrew Gymnasium – Vladimir was educated under the circumstances in the dead atmosphere He was completely alienated from Judaism and was completely away from any contact with Jewish heritage, and knew almost nothing about the nature of his people and his history, but the idea of ​​immigrating to Eretz Israel did not excite him, but he followed his parents’ In his Israeli environment, and became a recognized Israeli patriot, to the delight of his parents. He also began to know Israeli literature, albeit secondhand, in Russian translation. In particular, he admired the freedom of thought and expression he found in Israel – in a striking contrast to what was customary in his native country. From April 1973 he worked in the Fenicia factory in Haifa. In the course of his work, he was guided by modern methods of furnace engineering and metal smelting – a profession that only a few people do. This work enabled him to nurse his elderly and sick parents. The factory management was satisfied with his work and looked forward to his return from military service, which began in May 1974 for a limited period of time. He was successfully trained and served as a tank driver in the Artillery Corps with the rank of corporal, and his behavior was assessed by his commanders, who stated in writing that he was doing his job properly and that he was a disciplined soldier. And he was transferred to a Hebrew course in Jerusalem, where he fell on his way home on 10 April 1975, at the age of 29, was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the cemetery in Holon. His last commander wrote to the bereaved parents: “Vladimir z” l joined the course very well socially and excelled in his high achievements. He was always willing to help those who had difficulty. The unit had a disciplined and disciplined soldier. He did his job to the satisfaction of his commanders. “
