Ben Fortuna and Charles. Daniel was born on November 1, 1944, in Tunisia. He grew up in Paris, France. In 1965, Daniel enlisted in the French army and served with honors in the Air Transport Unit. Later he worked on the French Stock Exchange, the Securities Department. In 1970, Daniel fulfilled his dream, immigrated to Israel and then joined the police, to which he sought to contribute his skills. He served as a policeman in the Yarkon region of Tel Aviv in 1972. In 1972, Daniel was married and had three children: Sani, Vicky and Liat, who served as the head of the unit for the prevention of bullying, ), That he was one of its founders. When the Infantry Unit was expanded and changed its name to LISM, Daniel served as the deputy commander of the control unit. On 27 February 1994, Daniel was killed in a car accident on the Coastal Road, about eight hundred meters south of the Glilot junction, while he was on his way home in the police car. He was fifty years old. He was buried in the Netanya cemetery. He left a wife and three children. After they fell, Daniel was awarded the police service decoration. The family wrote: “… a name on a palm tree was taken by a fearless policeman, a field man for 23 years in a row, a father who gave the soul and the heart for his children, the country he loved and the police he admired.”
