Zerachia, Yosef


Son of Aliza and Levi, was born in Tel Aviv on April 10, 1947. In May 1965, he completed his basic officer training course, and in February 1967 he completed a course for officers of the IDF and rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel. Yosef fought in the Six-Day War and was promoted to lieutenant after the war. After completing his army service, he volunteered to continue serving in the career army until May 1968. Upon his discharge from the army, he began working as a deputy director of the security service in a security company in Tel Aviv. In October 1970 he returned to serve in the regular army, underwent a course of recruitment center commanders and was promoted to captain. He was assigned to serve about a third of the battalions in the Armored Corps. In February 1972 he married and established his home in Tel Aviv. During his years in the IDF, he served in various positions in the IDF and served as a brigadier general, a third of the brigade and a recruiting officer, and took part in the Yom Kippur War.
