In the summer of 1965, he went out on behalf of his unit to secure armored tractors that worked in the fields of Tel Katzir, at the foot of the Syrian outposts. He served as an instructor in the Israel Defense Forces and was later transferred to the base in Ma’ale Efrayim where he served until the day of his death, and was a friendly, cheerful man with a good heart and a sense of humor.
