Zephaniah, Daniel (Danny)

Daniel, son of Esther and Bechor Zephaniah, was born on April 11, 1929 in New York and immigrated to Israel in 1935. On May 16, 1948, he fell while repelling the enemy attack on Neve Ya’akov. Daniel was a machine-gunner. He was buried in Neve Yaakov. About a year and a half later he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
