Zeno, Levi
Son of Aliza and Abraham, was born on 57.7.1978 in Eilat to a brother of Riki, Nissim, Moshe, Micha, and Meir, and after his father’s death with whom he had a special relationship with cancer, Levi grew up with his mother in Eilat Levi began his studies at the Ye’elim Elementary School, completing his high school in Ort Eilat and finishing at the WIZO high school in Rehovot, in the field of diamond polishing. Levy had a special connection to his family. He took great care of his mother and did everything in his power to serve nearby and help her with the economy and housework. In January 1997 he enlisted in the IDF, and after completing basic training he was appointed a transport driver in the Maintenance Corps, although he was stationed at a remote base, did not complain and was well adapted to military life. He was especially attracted to the extreme sport of free fall, and waited for the day when he could experience various adventures, especially bungee jumping, On July 10, 1998, Levi fell while serving, and he was twenty years old when he fell. The military cemetery in Eilat left behind a mother, four brothers and a sister, and his sister Ricki writes on the anniversary of Levi’s death: “… you were so loved by us. Mother is raised by blessings and love. She always shielded you. Outwardly, a show of strength and within you you were soft and gentle. We could not see what was happening to you. Always when you were around the house was rustling. Your presence was palpable and now that you are not, we miss you so much, especially for me, as a brother with the same big and small quarrels, so-so-but-so-characteristic things in a healthy home. You’re missing me, all. Now you had to realize your dreams to plow the world, ‘rip’ the roads with heavy motorbike, jump bungee jumping, all those things that you did not accomplish. If only we could turn back the wheel … The pain has not yet expired, and your memory does not leave us in our daily life, as if you were with us and if it were possible to change the situation. You have left in our hearts memories of childhood, girls and adulthood, only we do not see you growing up as a man and as a family. You will always be with us and with our hearts and we will love you … “From a poem written by his mother Aliza:” Levi, / There are days in which there is sun and happiness / There are azure days in Zohar / Levi Your image is embracing my vibration / You are always a child. “You will be my child for ever.”
