Zehavi, Shimon
Shimon, son of Yehudit and Shimon, was born on the 22nd of Adar 2, 5708 (March 22, 1948) in Sanaa, Yemen, and immigrated to Israel at the age of one year. Shimon was drafted into the IDF in August 1967 and assigned to the Armored Corps, and his diligence and learning skills helped him on his way to the army, completing a number of courses, including armored reconnaissance courses, sniper course, and driving course. He served in various combat patrol units during the period of regular service (and later in reserve service) to the satisfaction of his commanders. In the last month of his regular service, Shimon was chosen by his commanders to be a member of the IDF team for a march in the Netherlands, and Shimon was a kind of reward for the great effort he invested in his three years of service. 1972, married a wife, and after completing his exams he began to study economics at Bar-Ilan University, where Shimon was a model worker, a diligent worker and an excellent student.
