Ze’evi, Eliezer (“Eli”)

Ze’evi, Eliezer (“Eli”)

Son of Yaakov and Aviva. He was born on the 30th of Tishrei 5714 (September 30, 1953) in Rehovot. As an older son, he was treated by his older brother and sister, especially after he had been bitten by his mother. His father married a second wife, Dina, who raised him from his infancy with devotion and motherly love. However, when he was fourteen years old, he also died from his father, and this event left his mark on him for the rest of his life. Eli attended the Remez School in Bnei Brak and graduated from Ramat Gan High School. Despite his youth, he was interested in current issues. The knowledge he acquired and the knowledge he learned revealed to him, among his friends and family, the title of a “two-way news journal.” Eli joined the IDF in early 1971 and was assigned to the Engineering Corps, where he completed many professional courses: a platoon commander’s course, a plasim course, a plumbers course and a training course in the army, and invested all his energies and knowledge in performing his duties. Sivan 5733 (11.6.1973) Sgt. Eli fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery. In a letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “His great dedication and contribution to the unit will not be forgotten forever, and many remains in our unit indicate his dedicated and loyal work and his diligence.”
