Ze’ev, Oded


He was born in 1928 in Yemen and immigrated with his family to Palestine in 1944. In Israel he enlisted in the British police and was sent to serve in the train station in Hadera. At the same time he joined the Irgun underground and his underground name was Avraham, and when the Irgun came from the underground, Oded moved with his friends to Zichron Yaakov, with the aim of joining the Israel Defense Forces in the framework of the Irgun’s battalions on June 22, The Etelena Etzel ship to the shore of Kfar Vitkin in order to unload 900 immigrants, Etzel and foreign volunteers, as well as military equipment, weapons and ammunition. Etzel members from various parts of the country rushed to the shore of Kfar Vitkin to help unload the ship, and Oded was among the helpers in the work and exchange of fire between the Etzel and the IDF.
