Zanati, Moshe
Son of Zohar and Albert. He was born in Kiryat Shmona on June 26, 1966. He completed his elementary studies at the “Meginim” school and later attended the Danziger High School in his hometown, where he spent one year in Kibbutz Yiron. During his spare time, he worked in photography and before his enlistment he took a Daya course, Moshe was drafted into the IDF in mid-August 1984 and joined the Golani Brigade. After basic training, he was trained in a course for commanders and a course for APC drivers. He spent most of his military service in combat operations in Lebanon and in Tekoa. He was an expert in his profession, dedicated, responsible and quick-paced. Moshe had a great joy of life, an inexhaustible energy and a constant willingness to help others. Special connections with his nephews. On the 27th of Tammuz 5747 (24.7.1987) Moshe fell in the line of duty and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shmona. Survived by his parents and three brothers – Eli, Ami and Yaakov. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Moshe chose the difficult and arduous path of a Golani fighter, despite the fact that he could serve in a back office.
