Zagori, Ami
Ben Shoshana and Pinchas. He was born on 28.4.1969 in Be’er Sheva. Ami was the beloved little son. When he was nine, his sister, the youngest daughter, was born. He received warmth and love from his family and was especially spoiled, because he was a handsome boy and a devoted son, loyal and loving to his family. Ami did elementary school at Nirim Elementary School and continued his high school studies at the Makif Aleph High School in Be’er Sheva. Ami studied carpentry and specialized in woodwork, and with great artistic skill he even did woodwork for his parents’ home. His friends note his great kindness and his being a positive and dominant figure in walks, parties and funerals, his friendships with childhood friends were preserved throughout his career and he was a true friend. Ami sacrificed himself to his family and at any time, in times of need or trouble, he immediately came to the rescue. At the end of July 1987, Ami was drafted into the IDF, where he served in the Paratroopers Brigade in the Southern Command, and after three years of service he was discharged and went to civilian life. On February 13, 1992, during an active reserve duty, Ami fell in the line of duty. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Be’er Sheva. Survived by his parents, three sisters – Ruti, Hedva and Oshrat and brother – Moti.
