Zafrani, Albert (Abraham)


Son of David and Luna. He was born in the city of Agadir in Morocco on January 1, 1940. Albert completed his studies in elementary school and a high school for mechanics there, worked in his profession in the garage, and worked for the immigration of Jews to Israel. He was drafted into the IDF and served in the Armored Corps. After completing his regular service, he was called from time to time to reserve duty and at the outbreak of the Six-Day War, he did not wait for an order and was stationed himself in his unit. He loved to come to the aid of others and supported his parents until his last moment. During an air raid on Baidu in Jerusalem on the second day of the war, he fell on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (6.6.1967). (December 1967) was named after his father. Was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. The municipality of Lod issued a pamphlet in memory of its fallen sons – and Albert among them.
