In the Kfar Galim youth village near Haifa, in agriculture, Tzahi was a strong, blond boy with blue eyes and a smile of kindness, always cheerful and lively, and was a member of the Mahanot Ha’olim youth movement, first as a trainee, And as a camp center, and twice a week Tzahi would come to the Kiryat Galim campus to train his students, who remember those years as the most Yaffa time in the movement. Tzachi was also an active player in the Maccabi Kiryat Bialik youth group until he was drafted in. In 1979, Tzachi was elected as the “fair player” of the team and was given a special shield, and today the soccer team is named after Maccabi Tzachi. In Kfar Galim, Tzachi was chosen for an outstanding student of social activity and work in the agricultural sector, and since his fall, the outstanding trainee was named after him and every year at the award ceremony, things are said about his character. Tzachi volunteered for the Civil Guard in the Kirya and in Kfar Galim, and was careful to keep both places. Once a week, he volunteered for help in a hospital in Haifa. Tzachi loved agriculture very much and specialized in bananas. For two years he kept a detailed diary of his work. The diary was sent to the Faculty of Agriculture of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Dr. Amos Dreyfus of the department wrote: “This journal, which was edited by Tzachi Zack, served as a tool for the preparation of a special journal for research purposes. You must know that Tzachi Zack’s work was done with great effort, with great effort and remarkable talent. From reading the diary it becomes clear to everyone that your son loved his work in Kfar Galim and was very devoted to it. “On the eve of his induction into the IDF, Tzachi was invited to serve in an elite unit. Near the Glilot junction, the door of the truck opened and he was taken to the hospital. For five days, the doctors worked to save his life, and on August 11, 1981 Tzachi died of his wounds. He was 19 years old when he died. Tzachi was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa. He left behind his parents, Ah-Tal and three sisters – Liron, Dafna and Yael. After his fall, he was promoted to the rank of corporal and his unit commander wrote in a letter of condolence to his family: “Tzachi was a soldier, a fighter and a brother to a model weapon. He had the dimensions and the stature of a leader.
