Zacharia-Yosef, Michael (“Mickey”)

Son of Yosef and Beila-Rachel. Born on 27 September 1946 in Bucharest, capital of Romania, the family immigrated to Israel in 1951. During his pre-university studies he showed a tendency toward social sciences, and was particularly interested in psychology. He was drafted into the IDF in October 1965 and fell in the course of his duties on Tu B’Av 5766 (August 1, 1966), and he is still serving in regular service. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
