Yudeler, Israel (Isador)


Son of Mordechai, was born in 1908 in Hamburg, Germany. In 1934 he married Elsa nee Neumann. After the Nazis came to power, Israel decided to immigrate to Palestine and settled in Haifa. Israel was a carpenter by profession and he made a living from it. He joined the Haganah and became an active member of the Haganah. On the 26th of Shvat 5708 (February 6, 1948), when he was on his way to guard in an outpost in Haifa, he was shot at by an Arab house. As a result of the shooting, Israel was hit and killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Haifa in the Saints section.
