Yoshinsky, Shmuel (“Lito”)


Son of Nachman and Rivka. He was born on August 24, 1935 in Montevideo, Uruguay. He completed his studies at an ORT vocational school, high school and vocational school in his city. He was educated in Hanoar Hatzioni among the Jews of his country, according to the spirit of the family that was known in the community as Zionist. The family immigrated to Israel in 1951 in the wake of the older brother who arrived from abroad in 1948. Shmuel belonged to Hanoar Haoved. Showed interest in literature, and recently, since being in the castles in the Nitzana region, he was interested in sculpture. He attended evening classes at the vocational school of the Hebrew Technion in Haifa. Outside of school he worked until his induction into the IDF (May 1954) – a vulcanizer in the casting factories of “Vulcan” in the manufacture of molds for pressure casting, for example his friends who liked him. He did not see it in his eyes, because only on the day of the fall did this place be established and completed on the 3rd of Sivan 5716 (3.6.1956) he fell while fulfilling his duties and was put to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
