Yosef, Ehud

Son of Rachel and Dan. He was born on June 6, 1969 in Be’er Sheva, where he spent his early childhood. In 1976, the family moved to Warburg, after the father was discharged from the army, and Udi began his elementary studies at the Mevo’ot School in Beer Tuvia. He continued in the middle school and in the Tzuk regional high school in the same settlement. Ehud was named after Lt. Col. Ehud Elad, a friend of his parents, who was a battalion commander in the brigade where his father served, and fell in the Six-Day War.was a handsome and strong boy who loved nature, And his devotion to family and friends, and his commitment to work in the economy, responsibly and to the extent possible, and the great interest he displayed in farming, animal husbandry, and agricultural machinery pushed aside his studies. Ehud was conscripted into compulsory military service in the IDF in February 1988, volunteered for an aviation course and later came to the Engineering Corps But due to medical problems he suffered, he was forced to move to the markers unit at the drop school. Throughout his military career he was loved and accepted by colleagues and commanders alike. Udi fell during his duty on 18 July 1990 in an accident that occurred during an IDF exercise in the Golan Heights and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in the village Warburg. He was succeeded by his parents, brother Eran and two sisters, Orit and Avital. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote about Udi, who was a smiling and lively young man, full of love for others, who turned out to be a natural leader who, with his enthusiasm, carried out missions to all his friends. The commander adds, noting how Udi was accepted by all the soldiers of the unit, who unanimously chose him as a soldier from a partisan company. The family commemorated his name in a memorial book
