Yonai, Joseph

Yosef, son of Erela and Mordecai, was born on 23 October 1944 in Kfar Hasidim, where he studied at the Rekhasim School in Kfar Hasidim, continued his studies at a new high school in Haifa and completed his studies at the Raleigh School of Biology. At the end of October 1962 and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade. He graduated with honors from the Infantry Corps and Officers Course. After his regular service, Sharett spent a year in the career army. On the 19th of Tishrei 5734 (19.10.1973), while clearing enemy bunkers in the Golan Heights, Joseph was hit and killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the Kfar Hasidim cemetery. He left behind a wife, parents and brother.
