David, son of Salima and Na’im, was born in Tzrifin on January 6, 1953, and completed his elementary studies at the “Hatikvah” school in Tel Aviv, where he studied at the Max Payne School. After two years of study there, he decided to move to the Holtz vocational school in Tel Aviv, where he completed high school, where he worked in a factory for machines And earned a living. Shortly before his enlistment, he was invited to an army interview and offered to sign a year of military service, in return for being placed in the military framework by profession. David was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early November 1971 and assigned to the Ordnance Corps, where he underwent a professional training course and was trained as a tank technician, who was able to easily overcome technical problems in his work. His friends from the unit liked him for his good character, his willingness to help others, and his friendly attitude towards everyone, and he was remembered as a soldier beloved and accepted by his commanders and friends alike. On October 7, 1973, David was hit by an artillery barrage and was killed and he was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the Mount Herzl cemetery, leaving behind his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
