Yochimak, Yosef-Zvi (“Bibi”)
Son of Elhanan-Reuven and Rachel. He was born on November 16, 1921, in Breslau, Germany. He graduated from a Jewish school there. The family immigrated to Israel in 1934. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement and was a member of Hapoel. He was a member of the Mekasher in Jerusalem and worked as a driver there. He served in the British Army during the Second World War. He also served in the War of Independence. He was a peace-seeker among his friends. On the 28th of Sivan 5708 (26.5.1958) he fell in battle in Jerusalem (on Mount Scopus) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, where he left three children After his death, in July 1958, he received “Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces”.
