Erez, son of Tzippora and Shmuel, was born on 15.4.1953 in the Kinneret colony, Erez was drafted into the IDF in early February 1972 and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade After completing basic training and after completing a parachuting course and a combat paramedics course, he took part in a course for infantry commanders and was sent to the infantry unit as a combat medic, He was a disciplined soldier even when he was given a job that did not excite him, and when he was asked to go to a paramedics course he preferred to remain in the paratroopers unit he served in, but he agreed to go with his knowledge of the importance of the job and his understanding that it was a mission that entrusted him with human life, His commander told us that his comrades and commanders loved him for his role in his activities During the Yom Kippur War, Erez took part in the fierce battles against the Egyptians on the Sinai front, in a battle that took place on October 14, 1973, when his unit fought against an Egyptian armored brigade that tried to break into the Mitla , Erez helped his wounded comrades, but despite the heavy fire, he felt that he had been injured by the enemy tanks, and Erez was killed and brought to rest in the Kinneret cemetery. . After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant.
