Yitzhaki, Aharon
The youngest son of his parents Levi and Katya. He was born in 1951 in Hadera and studied at the “Or HaChaim” religious school in Jerusalem and spent his free time studying Torah and the writings of his brother Zion, the greatest of whom he studied the Bible with commentaries, Mishnayot and Babylonian Talmud. He devoted himself to Torah study with all his soul and did not ask for any documents or fees, because he would study Torah for its own sake. He did not join any youth organization or public institution and spent most of his free time among his friends, neighborhood boys. In his home he was very disciplined, and he did the same outside and in the homes of neighbors. He was always courteous and respectful in any man older than him in the years and honored as a student before his teacher. He had been circumcised by his father when he was ten years old and all the years later Aaron felt very well about his father’s absence. He loved the country and the IDF with all his Lev, and Aharon was drafted into the IDF in May 1968 and assigned to the Artillery Corps. On February 9, 1970, he fell in an enemy attack on the Suez Canal and was brought to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
