Yitzhak, Shlomo (Shlomi)
Son of Deborah and Abraham (my father). He was born on 8 August 1986 in Safed and joined the IDF on November 22, 2004, and served in the 84th Battalion of the Givati Brigade, where he was killed during his service on 2 Tamuz 5765 (9.7.2005). He was nineteen when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Nahariya cemetery. Survived by his parents and two sisters – Galit and Liat. On his gravestone is engraved a sentence from Naomi Shemer’s poem “Another Harvest”: “My dear, my grieving soul does not come to terms with your departure.” (The information on this page is written according to the data in the possession of the Unit for the Commemoration of the Soldier, the full story of life will be published later.)
